Corrie Woods wrote this book to honor the advice of her late grandfather: "One remarkable day, a few precious words he shared changed my life. As he held my hand, he smiled and said, 'Corrie, I have lived a great life. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing." These last words convinced Woods not to waste another minute having any regrets, and led her to write this book.
The book is devided into three sections: "Setting Your Inner Compass to Yes;" "Trailblazing the Experience;" and "Navigational Tools For Your Journey." Within each chapter are field notes that give advice for exceptional living. For example: "Banish the Bullies, each time you notice one pop up, transform your language!" The chapter titled "A Bold New Woman" deals with how to break away from a set routine. Woods suggest that one start with small steps to get outside one's comfort zone. Take some risks, such as signing up for a class or trying a new sport.
Woods gives us food for thought regarding opportunities that invite celebrations. In addition to typical ones such as birthdays or anniversaries, celebrate other milestones. These could be completing a major project, enjoying the first bloom of spring, or making an interesting new friend.
The activities the author suggests are numerous. Imagine having a framework on how to clear the clutter in your home. You might be surprised at what a difference it can make to your health and self-esteem. I know I could benefit from such a change.
This book may help you escape the daily grind and stress of your job or environment. Any chapter will guide you through a potentially life-changing adventure.
