"SuperStar" Reviewer: Duffie Bart

I am a writer and reader living in Santa Barbara where my daughter Scout and two beautiful grandchildren keep me busy and happy. My primary interest is in the deepening of my awareness, and it is through writing, reading, and relationship that I find my growth and spiritual awakening. At the ripe old but wonderful age of seventy-four, I am enjoying meeting challenges that I might easily have avoided in my younger years. But I make no promise that one day I will not publish the memoir that shares the spell of my glorious journey. I enjoy reviewing memoirs that speak to my own life and personal identity. Selecting and remembering those passages that have special meaning for me, and structuring them into a coherent whole to make the review interesting for the reader, is a great challenge and also a remarkable source of inner growth for me. An added dividend is being on the review team with other Story Circle women, whose well-written reviews point me in the direction of other books I wish to read.
